2010 Fall RegistrationRegister for Fall classes- Friday, July 30th, 4:00-7:00 and Saturday, July 31st 10:00-2:00 Or register online at www.mainstreetdance.net Ages 2-up Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Pointe Fall classes begin Wednesday, August 18th Fall Classes Available Baby Dolls- Creative Dance for age 2Creative movement class for toddlers working toward knowledge of body parts, spacial awareness, rhythm, coordination and an introduction to basic ballet terminogy. Angels- Creative Dance class for age 3 Creative movement class which builds upon rhythm, balance, coordination and self confidence while being introduced to basic ballet and tap terminology. Lil’ Sweethearts – Pre Dance class for Preschool age 4 Pre Ballet and Tap class building a basic foundation of dance terminology in French as well as English while building grace, poise, self confidence and performance skills. Princesses- Pre Dance class for Kindergarteners age 5 Pre Ballet and Tap class building a basic foundation of dance terminology in French as well as English while building grace, poise, self confidence and performance skills. This class prepares dancers for the first level of dance by placing a strong focus on stretching and technique. Showstoppers – Level 1 combination class for Grade 1 Consists of ballet and tap for beginning dancers while focusing on terminology, basic technique and creating a strong dance foundation. This level will also be introduced to basic jazz technique. All Stars – Level 2 combination class for Grade 2 Consists of ballet, tap and jazz for beginning dancers while focusing on terminology, basic technique and creating a strong dance foundation. Super Stars– Level 3 combination class for Grade 3 Consists of ballet, tap and jazz technique while focusing on building upon terminology, strengthening technique and encouraging student’s self worth and confidence. This level will also be introduced to basic lyrical jazz technique. Supermodels- Level 4 combination class for Grade 4-6 Consists of ballet, tap, and jazz while focusing on strong technique, self discipline and self confidence. This level will also be introduced to basic lyrical technique and beginning modern technique. Stretching and conditioning is a strong focus for this level. Two years of dance experience is required for this level. Divas- Level 5 combination class for Grades 6-up Consists of ballet, tap, and jazz while focusing on technique and encouraging a strong foundation for the appreciation of the arts. Stretching and conditioning is a strong focus for this level. This level will also touch on lyrical and modern jazz technique to enhance their ballet, jazz and performance skills. Four years of dance experience is required for this level. Hip Hop - Ages 7-up A dance form which introduces the latest street dances while emphasising coordination, rhythm, free style movement, and lots of fun. Musical Theater - Ages 7-up Consist of an introduction of basic technique in voice, dance, drama and general theater terminolgy. Just Tap- Ages 7-up Consists of basic tap terminology building from basic to beginner to an intermediate level |
